Abquatics is an aquatic food brand specialising in products for aquarium fish and shrimp. The packaging redesign aimed to refresh the brand’s visual identity and create stronger shelf presence while maintaining familiarity for existing customers.
Rather than relying on the live aquarium photography commonly used throughout the market, the new direction focused on hand-drawn illustrations and bold colour blocking to create a more distinctive and recognisable visual system. Each product was assigned its own colour palette and illustrated species to improve product differentiation while keeping the range visually cohesive.
The combination of custom illustrations, simplified layouts, and vibrant colours helped create packaging that feels more modern, engaging, and accessible, while still reflecting the authenticity of the brand and its specialised products.
